Gwyn was born in 1894 in East Ham to Frederick George and Eleanor Joy and had 5 Siblings. In 1911 the family were living at 7 Glencoe Avenue, Seven Kings, Ilford.
Gwyn joined the London regiment and died from wounds received at Bullecourt. He was awarded the Military Cross.
He is buried at St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France and he is remembered on the family grave in the churchyard of St Peter’s, Aldborough Hatch, Ilford, Essex.
