Biography 

Born in 1896 at Newport Monmouthshire, son of James (General Labourer) and Theodosia Watts. 1901 and 1911: With his family at 2 Wheeler Street, Newport. The family home later moved to 29 Pugsley Street, Newport. In 1911 he was working as a Messenger Boy.

A Territorial Gunner, he was sent to France on 23rd November 1915 and later became a Driver. He died in France from Pneumonia - a likely victim of the Spanish Flu.

His name also appears on the Newport War Memorial.

His connection to Woodford is unclear.
