Biography
Kenneth Chetwynd Harvey-George was born in Suffolk in 1889 and by 1911 was living with his mother (a widow), his sister (an art teacher), his aunt and a boarder. Kenneth was an estate manager and the family lived at a house called ‘Kingsfield’, 1 Jersey Road, Ilford.
During the war, Kenneth served as a Sergeant in the 1st/5th London Regiment (London Rifle Brigade). He died of his wounds on 13th June 1917, aged 28, probably at the West Bridgford Military Hospital, Nottinghamshire. His body was bought back to near home and Kenneth is buried in Barking Rippleside Cemetery.
