Biography 

Born in 1880 at Chester, son of Joshua (Auctioneer) and Jane Mosscrop. 1881: With his family at 17 Bouverie Street, Chester. 1891: A Scholar with his family at 22 Chichester Street, Chester. On 15th April 1904 his father, home address 30 Chichester Street, Chester, died in the National Hospital, Queen Street, Bloomsbury. 1911: Samuel had become a Dress Goods Warehouseman with his widowed mother and brother John, at “Enneskerry” Derby Road, South Woodford.

He enlisted at 56 Davis Street, London, joining 16 London Regiment (Westminster Rifles), and was Killed in Action while fighting around Arras.
