Biography
George Anton Dinn was born and lived in Essex, although he may have spent some of his childhood in Chicago, U.S.A. His father Edward was a master builder. George lived with his family in Theydon Bois. In 1907, he married his wife, Constance, and moved to 39 Little Ilford Lane, Manor Park, where they were still living at the time of the 1911 census.
The couple had one daughter, Dorothy Iris Dinn, born in 1910.
George joined the army and was sent to the Middle East where he was killed on 15th May 1916 in Basra, Mesopotamia. Notice was sent to his widow, Constance, who was then living at 99 Westwood Road, Seven Kings, Ilford.
