Biography 

Born in 1895 at Woodford, son of Henry (Blacksmith) and Harriet Horsnell. 1911: A Butcher, living with his family at 2 Melbourne Terrace, Daisy Road, South Woodford. The family home was later at 19 Daisy Road.

Ernest joined the Army on 14th September 1914. He died in one of the Casualty Clearing Stations at Duisans from wounds received in action during the Battle of Arras.
