Charles James Barrett was born in 1897 to Charles and Racheal Barrett.
The family lived on or near Maybank Road, Woodford in 1901.
Charles Barrett enlisted with 1st Battalion, Essex Regiment, at the Stratford enlisting office. He was sent to the Western Front where he was killed fighting on 14th April 1917. His name appears on the Arras Memorial in France.
