Biography 

Born in 1897, Archibald William Biggs was the son of Louisa Jane Biggs and William John Henry Biggs, a draper. In 1911, the family was living at 17 Oakwood Gardens, Seven Kings, Ilford. Archibald William Biggs attended Downshall School, Seven Kings and then Coopers Company School in Bow from 1909 to 1911. He later studied at Clarks College in Ilford.

Archibald Biggs enlisted in the London Regiment in 1916. He was killed in action, during the Somme Offensive on 26th August 1918, a few months before the Armistice. He was 21 years of age.

He is buried in Summit Trench Cemetery, France.
