Son of Mrs Henderson, Pollokshields, Glasgow. Engaged in business with a firm in Canning Town, London, and by his fine qualities and ability gained the confidence his employers and the good will of many friends. Joined the 14th Battalion County of London Regiment (London Scottish) a few weeks after the outbreak of war, proceeding to France in the summer of 1915. Was killed at the battle of Loos on 25th September, 1915.
