Biography 

Albert Victor Parker was the only son of David and Ada Parker. In 1911, they were living together at 20 Hermon Hill, Wanstead. David Parker was a Police Constable for the Criminal Investigation Department, and fifteen year old Albert was working as a junior clerk for a colour manufacturers.

Albert joined the 13th Battalion Kings’ Royal Rifle Corps, but was wounded in battle, dying from his injuries on 29th July 1917. His name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial in Belgium.
