A roll of honour mounted within a wooden frame at Wanstead Golf Club, Wanstead, commemorates 70 members of the club who served in the First World War. The roll was handwritten and illuminated. The names of the nine members who died are arranged in alphabetical order at the top. The medals of each of the men are also recorded.

A.D. Taylor is featured on the list of men who survived, but a note has been added beside his name to indicate that he was killed in action. The list was probably written just before the end of the war as Ashley Dudley Taylor died on 24th August 1918.
