The War Memorials Register (compiled by the Imperial War Museum) records a memorial tablet at St Mary’s in Woodford, commemorating Mr Clifford Joseph Brook Hunt who died in the First World War.
The plaque was described as being made of alabaster with a ‘roll-moulding frame’ and featuring a ‘regimental cap badge at the top left’.
Clifford’s middle name is spelt as ‘Brooke’ on another memorial at All Saint’s Church in Woodford and is registered as ‘Brooke’ on records held by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
The current whereabouts of the tablet is unknown.
