Biography 

William Charles Jarvis was born in Sidcup, Kent, in 1895. He was the oldest of seven children born to William and Louisa Jarvis. In 1911, William was working as a junior clerk and was living in the family home at 100 Prospect Road, Woodford.

William enlisted with the 1st Battalion, The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He was sent to France but was killed on the 19th April 1918. He is buried in the Pernes British Cemetery in France.
