Biography 

Born in 1892 at Woodford, son of Walter Charles (Plumber) and Eleanor Emma Milton. 1901: A Scholar with his family at 1 Flower Villa, Maybank Road, South Woodford. 1911: A Plumbers Labourer living with his family at 36 Waverley Road, South Woodford. He later became a Plumber.

He enlisted on 8th August 1914 at Stratford, and went to France on 19th February 1915. He was Killed in Action during the days leading up to the 3rd Battle of Ypres.

It appears he married while serving in Europe. His Mother applied for a pension for his widow who “cannot write English”. The pension of 13/9d came into payment from 11th February 1918.
