Biography 

Tom Lambert Clark was born in Bow in 1894. He was the oldest of ten children born to Thomas and Georgina Clark.

In 1911, Tom was 16 and living in the family home at 7 Forest View, Leytonstone. He was working as a fish monger.

Tom enlisted with the 9th (County of London) Battalion (Queen Victoria’s Rifles). He was sent to the Western Front, where he died of his wounds on 27th April 1918, and was buried in Crouy British Cemetery, Picardie, France.
