Thomas Page was Killed in Action, probably during the Battle of Selle which lasted from 17-25 October 1918. The advance began over a 10 mile front south of le Cateau, and some troops were held by intact German wire defences. However they managed to break through and went on to take le Cateau. Fighting was particularly fierce on 18/19 October.
