Biography
Leonard Simpson Ling lived in 54 Cameron Road, Seven Kings. He was born in Chelmsford and by 1911 was living in Southend where he was a draper’s assistant. He served as a Second Lieutenant in the Norfolk Regiment. He died on 23rd April 1917, aged 23 years old. His name appears on the Arras Memorial in France.
