Biography 

Born on 31st December 1896 in Lambeth, son of John Lee (Metropolitan Police Sergeant), and Mary Jane Bovey. He was baptised in 1897 at St John the Evangelist Lambeth while living at 5 Howley Street, Waterloo. 1901: With his family at 36 Waterlow Buildings, Wilmot Street, Bethnal Green. 1911: A Scholar living with his family at 21 Globe Road, Mile End. In 1918 the family home was at 34 Wynndale Road, South Woodford.

He was a Territorial Gunner with a Trench Mortar Battery, who died of Influenza on the day the Armistice came into effect.
