Biography 

Harry George King was born in 1882. By 1901, he was living in West Ham with parents John and Harriet King, his five brothers, and sister.

By1911, he was living with his mother, wife and three children at 3 Eastbourne Road, West Ham, and was working as a laundry stoker.

However by the time he enlisted with the army, he was living in Woodford.

Harry King enlisted with 4th Battalion, London Regiment at which point he was recorded as living in Woodford. He was sent to the Western Front where he was killed in action on 23rd August 1918.

He is buried in the Vis-en-Artois British Cemetery in France.
