Biography
Douglas Underwood Thomas was born in 1900 to William and Mary Thomas. Robert had one younger sister and two elder brothers. In 1911, Douglas was living at ‘Theydons’, 30 Montalt Road, Woodford Green, with his parents, younger sister, and two older brothers. Douglas joined the Royal Air Force with the 57th Squadron, but was killed on the 27th October 1918. He is buried in Bermeries Communal Cemetery, France.
