Biography
In 1911, Arthur Jupp was 13 years old and living with his family of eight at a house called ‘Haslemere’, 34 Natal Road, Ilford. His father (also called Arthur) was a lithographic printer.
During the war, Arthur (junior), served as a Lance Sergeant in the 1st Battalion, the Cambridgeshire Regiment. He died of wounds (received at the battle of Ephey in France) on 24th September 1918, aged 21 years old and is buried at St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen, France.
