Stanley John Derby Curnow is commemorated at St. Andrew’s Church in Ilford. The memorial takes the form of a stained glass window depicting what appears to be St. Andrew (wearing the cross of St. Andrew) with a child carrying a fish and a loaf of bread. This probably depicts the biblical story whereby Jesus miraculously feeds a crowd of 5000 people with only five loaves of bread and two fishes. It was the disciple Andrew who found a boy with the loaves and fishes and presented them to Jesus. As the church is dedicated to St. Andrew, the window depicts one of the major stories featuring the saint.
