Ilford Football Club produced a Roll of Honour which listed the names of the 37 club members who served in the First World War.
The roll of honour is currently displayed in the boardroom of Ilford Football Club, at Ilford Sports Club, Cricklefields Stadium. A photograph of the roll was reproduced in a souvenir booklet celebrating the club’s Jubilee celebrations in 1931. A copy of this booklet is held in the archive collection at Redbridge Heritage Centre and is reproduced here.
The names of the four men of the club who died are presented at the top of the list. The inscription was set within a decorative border and featured a shield bearing a royal coat of arms at the top.
