Two ornately carved wooden chairs at Holy Trinity Church, South Woodford, are dedicated to preserving the memory of Lance Corporal Herbert C. Heritage who was killed in action in France on 15th March 1917. The chairs are carved with inscriptions and in the centre at the back of each chair is a dedicatory brass plaque. The inscription indicates that the chairs were donated by Herbert’s wife and relatives.

The chairs are situated inside the church, half way up, to the right of the altar.
